Design Solution
The house is a tiny 1,250 SF organized on five half levels that step
up around a central fireplace within a high open space. Open stairs
link each half level and sunlight floods the space from skylights
above.Level 1 is
a mud room entry; level 2 is the living room with fireplace and built
in couches and shelf units; level 3 is the kitchen and dining areas
facing the view and opens onto a large deck area; level 4 contains the
bedrooms and bath; level 5 has a built in desk and several bunk bed
niches.
The total effect of the space is just right for a vacation, light,
airy, and fun. |
