The town offices were located on the lower level: town clerk, treasurer, records room with vault, selectmen’s office, a large meeting room, and public rest rooms.

New heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, and lighting systems were designed and concealed throughout the building. A "selectman's" porch was added to the rear of the building for informal gatherings and to protect entrances and exits from ice and snow falling from the high roof.

The building is approached through a small landscaped space we created with a row of maple trees and a simple granite post fence along Main Street. Rows of lower plantings screen parking and broaden and frame the building's narrow front façade. We relocated several war monuments and flagpoles to form a dignified memorial area on the site.
